PA107DP and MP103FC Power Amplifiers
The Apex Precision Power™ brand continues its legacy of industry first power amplifiers for driving piezo actuators with the introduction of the PA107DP and MP103FC. The PA107DP is a hybrid product design housed in a 12-pin Power SIP. With a typical slew rate of up to 3000 V/µs, this device raises the bar for single-package hybrids, and beats its nearest “off-the-shelf” competition by nearly 3X. That competition just happens to be another Apex Precision Power hybrid – the PA85 – which is housed in the TO-3 package and has been an industry work horse from more than 12 years with a slew rate of 1,000 V/µs. The PA107DP is an attractive option for medical imaging, ultrasound applications and programmable power supplies. The MP103FC is a dual-channel device that utilizes the industrial temperature range “open frame” form factor. The MP103FC can deliver a very high 15 A of output from each of its two channels which makes it an excellent choice for driving multiple piezo print heads in large format industrial ink jet printers. Our customers will also like the MP103FC for its solid slew rate performance of 180 V/µs. Both devices are operational with voltage supplies of up to 200 V.
Cirrus Logic continues to expand its Apex Precision Power™ brand of motor control products with two new low cost driver PWM ICs in the 3 amp power range. As monolithic, single package solutions, both the SA303-IHZ and SA53-IHZ provide a high level of integrated for driving brushless and brush motors in the market space between lower current devices and higher cost drivers operating on 400+ voltage supplies.
